A spreading shrubby tree with beautiful, heart-shaped, lime-green leaves turning yellow to bright red in autumn.

Deep crimson, purple or pink flowers are borne before the leaves appear. One of the most stunning blossom trees you can have. See also the Judas tree Cercis siliquastrum.
